We currently have an opening for a Shipping & Receiving Associate.

The Shipping and Receiving Associate conducts the receipt of contracted test articles, assigns test numbers, initiates test paperwork, maintains inventory control and coordinates shipments from the warehouse according to iuvo BioScience and related regulatory standards (ex: GLP, cGMP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Associate is responsible for the following:

  • Conducting and coordinating daily log-in activities
  • Receive and log in test articles
  • Receive supplies
  • Verify paperwork to test articles
  • Contact clients to resolve discrepancies related to the log in function
  • Store test articles according to client specifications
  • Maintain/retrieve test articles on hold
  • Act as liaison between clients and management related to logging in of test articles
  • Write/revise work instructions related to log-in
  • Act as liaison to the Accounting department with client information
  • Shipping and returning test articles to clients
  • Train backup log-in personnel
  • All other tasks as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or related scientific lab experience; and/or 2 years of related experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook), experience with database formats.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Must have well-developed interpersonal communication skills, and ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization as well as external vendors and contacts. Must have excellent spelling, grammar and writing skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals to tally products received.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Must demonstrate a strong customer service orientation. Have ability to read protocols and miscellaneous test paperwork. Must have good reasoning abilities to be able to read compliance forms and protocols and deduce whether the correct product and number have been received and know what to do to complete all required paperwork.
