Wabtec is seeking a qualified Shipping and Receiving Clerk II to join our team in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The ideal candidate will be engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties

Shipping and Receiving Clerk II Job Responsibilities:

* Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

* Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.

* Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.

* Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Design's workflows and procedures.

* Project Management - Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.

* Technical Skills - Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; Pursues training and development opportunities; Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.

* Managing People - Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities; Makes self-available to staff; Provides regular performance feedback: Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth; Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external); Fosters quality focus in others; Improves processes, products, and services; Continually works to improve supervisory skills.

* Visionary Leadership - Displays passion and optimism; Inspires respect and trust; Mobilizes others to fulfill the vision; Provides vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates.

Education:

* Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Ability to operation UPS/FedEx systems through Clipper Ship.

* Knowledge and experience in stand-up forklift.

* Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Oracle knowledge a plus, use of overhead cranes, and other shipping equipment
