We are seeking a team player to join our team as a Shipping & Receiving Clerk!
This is an onsite role in Poestenkill, NY!
Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, the Shipping/Receiving Clerk will have the following key responsibilities:
* Lift, unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains record of received goods. Receives internal PO's requested via email.
* Transfer material into storage locations.
* Pick and deliver Accessory work orders and raw material stock requisitions to various departments.
* Operates hand and powered material handling equipment.
* Load, unload, delivers materials, chemicals and other products including 55 gallon drums. Stacks, stores chemicals in chemical shed and maintains rotation of drums to ensure first in first out stock.
* Pick/pack prepare hazardous & nonhazardous, domestic & international customer orders for final shipment to the customer.
* Cycle counting and physical inventory.
* Prepare Hazmat documentation.
* Coordinates with freight-forwarders/carrier activities
Requirements
* High school or GED
* 2-4 years of related experience
* Computer skills using PC and radio frequency devices; understanding warehouse operations
* Candidate needs to be able to stand, lift (up to 50 pounds), bend/squat, push/pull
* Experience with shipping domestic and international using third party systems (ex: FedEx, UPS)
* Experience operating a forklift
* Pallet jack experience
* BONUS: Experience with Air Waybill (AWB) and Automated Export System (AES) filing
