Elmira Stamping & Manufacturing-North is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. About Us: Elmira Stamping & Manufacturing has specialized in medium- to high-volume contract metal stamping, progressive die stamping, and CNC machining since 1970. Elmira Stamping & Manufacturing specializes in both deep-draw and progressive die stamping. We are equipped with man servo, high-speed, mechanical, and hydraulic stamping presses ranging from 30 to 400 tons. Our machines are optimized for automation with in-die contact and non-contact sensors. We are also experts in secondary put-and-take operations for parts that cannot be completed in a progressive die. Additionally, we have multiple 5-axis Emmegi XT extrusion milling centers with a bed capacity of 30 feet, plus turrets, lasers, and more.   • Shipping and receiving, including both material handling and administrative duties.
  • Utilize computer system to ship, check order status, scan orders and upload pictures.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Maintain organization of the receiving area, staging area, hold area and outgoing area of the warehouse, including all respective paperwork.
  • Report any discrepancies between paperwork (i.e. purchase orders, job card routers, shipping tickets) and physical inventory.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Final review of completed product - review paperwork and packaging of parts. Responsible for final review prior to shipping parts to customers.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in databases and systems
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Current forklift license preferred, ability to drive a forklift required
  • Previous experience in logistics, warehouse, or other related field strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Total Compensation Package:
  • Wage
    • This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Elmira Stamping & Manufacturing provides salary ranges as a good faith estimate of what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Compensation offered to a selected candidate may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
