DescriptionPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates and distributes daily shipping schedule for current customer orders shipping from multiple locations.
- Responsible for all documentation for customer shipments (BOL, packing list, COA, MSDS, SLI, commercial invoice, shipping labels).
- Posts transactions for customer orders and returns documentation to Customer Service.
- Coordinates approval from QA lab and Inventory Controller for same day make/ship orders, as well as any special transportation needs such as heat required trailers or team drivers.
- Schedules all customer shipments with designated carriers and promptly reports on any missed or late shipments.
- Validates freight invoices for accuracy.
- Schedules all returns and process BOL paperwork for returns with designated carriers.
- Maintains customer required tracking information and special requirements as necessary.
- Conducts freight cost comparisons for TL and LTL shipments.
- Generates transfer orders for internal warehouse shipments from multiple locations.
- Tracks and reports carrier performance quarterly to the Logistics Operations Manager.
RequirementsKnowledge, skills and Education/Experience
- 3- 5 years shipping clerk experience.
- Position requires a HS diploma or GED & basic PC skills.
- Must acquire and maintain DOT certification (Coim can provide).
- Experience with inventory systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft systems, Outlook, Excel, etc.
