Receiving Shipments: - Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to management.
- Label and store products in designated areas to maintain organized inventory.
Shipping Orders: - Prepare outgoing shipments by packing, labeling, and documenting items according to company policies.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation for tracking and compliance purposes.
Inventory Management: - Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy of stock levels.
- Assist in managing inventory control by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Update inventory databases and systems with accurate information regarding stock movement.
Equipment Operation: - Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as necessary.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safety checks are performed on all equipment used.
Collaboration and Communication: - Collaborate with team members and other departments, including sales, purchasing, and customer service, to facilitate smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and management regarding inventory levels, shipping issues, and operational needs.
Compliance and Safety: - Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing shipping and receiving duties.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional warehouse or logistics training preferred.
- Prior experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and inventory.
- Proficient with computers and experience using inventory management software.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment safely.
