Shipping/Receiving Handler

Our client, a manufacturer located in Williamsport, PA, has an immediate need for a Shipping & Receiving Handler for its facility!

The Shipping & Receiving Handler ensures complete and accurate loading and storage of products. Locates, checks and verifies the accuracy of the product being loaded with load requests, product specifications, customer orders, customer sequencing, sizes, piece counts or other information as necessary.

Job Duties:

• Safely operate a forklift
• Ensures accuracy and quality of all loads
• Loads and unloads product and materials
• Responsible to complete all required documentation
• Construct necessary shoring required to secure loads
• Move material by means of manual or powered hand truck
• Plan and understand the load for ease of unloading
• Identify and report problems to supervisor
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a clean, safe and neat work area
• Clean and store tools and equipment properly
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:

• Preferred High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to read and understand shipping schedules in English
• Must have the ability to plan loads and read load sheets
• Standing, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, walking, carrying, lifting loads up to 100 pounds (assisted)
• Must be able to work overtime as needed including weekends!
• Steel Toed Boots or Sneakers

1st shift, 7am to 3pm with mandatory overtime

startingwage: $16.50 per hour

2nd shift, 3pm-11pm with mandatory overtime. wage: $18.15 per hour
