Our company prides itself on not having layoffs, enhancing our company benefits, continuing to grow as a company and having opportunities for advancement.Cibes|Symmetry is currently recruiting for Shipping and Receiving at our Roanoke, IL Facility.This is a 1st shift position: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.JOB DESCRIPTION The incumbent will ensure that shipping/receiving operations are completed in a timely and professional manner. DUTIES
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
  • Assists in preparing items for shipment
  • Maintains shipping paperwork and checklists
  • Labels packages via UPS or FedEx
  • Verifies inbound and outbound loads and materials
  • Assists Logistics Manager with shipping & receiving inquiries and paperwork
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area
EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated experience in safe fork truck driving and material moving
  • Customer-service orientation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of shipping and receiving general practices
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Demonstrated comfort level in interfacing with various levels of staff and management, while working in a fast paced environment
  • Controlling operations of equipment or systems
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Demonstrate multi-tasking ability to respond to manufacturing needs
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities physical demands/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:
  • Extended periods of sitting or standing.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arms length, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery
  • Intermittent exposure of to cold or heat
Pay depending on experience. All candidates must pass a drug screen and necessary tests for position. EOE/ADA/M-F/V/D
