Shipping and Receiving Lead/Forklift Operator- Manchester, CT Pay $18-22/hr! A family owned boating supply company is looking for a highly skilled and reliable shipping and receiving clerk with forklift experience! Responsibilities for Shipping and Receiving Lead/Forklift Operator
- Process inbound/outbound shipments
- Use of software for inventory control and processing shipments
- Use of hand tools to build pallets
- Keep track of the location of goods
- Move goods from one location to another
- Perform routine maintenance on the forklift
- Ensure proper health and safety regulations are followed
- Ensure there is adequate gas in the forklift
- Perform inspections on the forklift
Qualifications for Shipping and Receiving Lead/Forklift Operator
- Recent shipping and receiving experience required
- Forklift experience required
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to follow proper safety procedures
- Ability to maintain a safe working area
- Knowledge of heavy machinery
- Great organizational skills
- Experience with bills of lading preferred
- Experience with hand tools is REQUIRED
