Oil States is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Shipping/Receiving Lead for our Tulsa, Oklahoma location in our organization, the Shipping/Receiving Lead has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments. POSITION SUMMARY: The Shipping & Receiving Lead is the primary shipping support for the department supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Lead will be responsible for the shipping and receiving, planning, organizing and executing all sales orders and purchase orders to ensure orders are shipped and received efficiently and on time. This position supports problem-solving and root cause analysis for the shipping & receiving department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead team collaboration on initiatives and any work assigned by Supervisor.
  • Works with the Supervisor to oversee the team and ensure the department meets operational goals. Schedules daily shipping and receiving functions within department.
  • Monitors and guides Warehouse Associates as they move items throughout the warehouse.
  • Prepare products for shipping according to customer specifications, including packaging for transportation, weighing and measuring packages.
  • Ensure that merchandise is in proper condition and that orders are filled properly before the items are sent to customers.
  • Prepares products for shipment according to purchase order or other specifications.
  • Completes appropriate paperwork such as packing slip lists and instructions.
  • Prepares related reports (shipping, reject, reclaim, etc.).
  • Keeps an inventory of all supplies for shipping and receiving area.
  • Loads and/or unloads trucks as necessary.
  • Builds crates and/or boxes as necessary.
  • Drive forklift
  • May drive company truck as necessary.
  • Monitors personal and team safety in all daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Previous shipping/receiving experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain forklift certification.
  • Ability to clearly convey and accurately receive information through various methods.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition/subtraction, multiplication/division).
  • Knowledge of weights and measures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending.
  • Standing for long periods, up to 8 hours a day.
