ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifying the accuracy of description, quantity, and quality of incoming deliveries.
- Contributes to orderly operation of storage, movement, and handling of different goods, supplies and material to their necessary locations.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording locations of inventory, and reporting shortages.
- Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials.
- Track the stock within warehouse and report cycle counts and physical year end counts.
- Prioritize and plan work activities, manage time efficiently and meet objectives to complete projects.
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory.
- Collaborating with internal departments to locate missing packages and replace damaged products.
- Encourages company initiatives like safety.
- Coordinate material moves to and from work centers and ensures material needs are met throughout the organization.
- Use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly solve any issues that may appear on the production line.
- Move into inventory, supplies and other packages from various locations.
- Ability to work OT to meet schedules
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Experience with an ERP and Windows-based computer system
- Data entry and documents such as sales orders, slips, inventory records, and receiving documents
- Knowledge and competency in the utilization of warehouse related computer and bar- coding equipment
- Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds
PREFERRED SKILLS
- 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics: experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
- Forklift Certification preferred with all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Team management and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
