Now Hiring: Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Operator 2 to join our Transportation & Infrastructure team. The Shipping/Receiving Operator 2 is responsible for the identification of specific component parts and the preparation of products for shipment.As a Shipping/Receiving Operator 2, you will:Uses crane, hoist, forklift, or other material handling equipment to transport materials and products into and out of the work area as requiredPackages, bands, or shrink-wraps products or loadsEfficiently loads and unloads finished products on trucksProvides input for loading decisions and executes the daily planFollows customer shipping specifications/standard workInspects material handling equipment and lifting devicesVerifies/Counts parts moved to match paperwork for inventory accuracyMaintains accurate inventory of shipping materialsInterprets blueprints, BOL, and other necessary documents to identify partsInterprets priorities to ensure tasks are completed in a timely mannerOccasionally performs cycle countsSpecifies standard work and gives recommendationsUtilizes ERP software to understand the status of jobs & materials moving through the manufacturing processInspects deliveries and accurately logs documentationGathers/picks/assembles products on load listsPuts product away in designated areasSafely operates yard truck and payloader, as requiredRole Qualifications as a Shipping/Receiving Operator 2:Experience in a manufacturing environment operating Material Handling equipment including an overhead crane, yard truck, and/or payloaderSkill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills in EnglishSkill to accurately use tape measure and precision measuring devicesProficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawingsComputer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applicationsAbility to perform basic shop math functionsAbility to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperworkAbility to electronically record production informationStrong attention to detail and organization skillsWhy Millerbernd and Who We Are:We strive to create the best opportunities for our employees.
