The Shipping/ Receiving Personnel are responsible for plant logistics concerning material flow and storage of bare and coated steel, packaging materials, and miscellaneous items. Should be responsive to the priorities of office personnel in determining daily activities. It will be necessary to maintain contact with contract and customer carriers; therefore, warrants a pleasant and courteous disposition. Shall arrange a timely schedule of truck arrival based on company needs control yard (truck) traffic. This position requires basic math, reading, and writing skills. Shall be required to assist in routine equipment maintenance, clean-up and miscellaneous duties associated with the plant activities. Essential Job Functions:Communicate verbally and in writing with other departments of the plant concerning plant operations. Regular and on-time attendance. Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
