Employee commitment and dedication is essential to the L & R Corporate values of providing the highest quality products, superior customer service with good product knowledge and compassion to our customers including patients, therapists, and medical professionals.Position Summary The Logistics Associate is responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, inspecting, packaging, order picking, recordkeeping, and inventory of both raw materials and finished goods. Primary Responsibilities:
- Shipping all outgoing orders and items including accurately weighing order on scale.
- Entering the correct shipment information into the appropriate shipping carriers' tracking system for domestic and international shipments.
- Shipment of international orders including declared values and the necessary customs paperwork pertaining to appropriate country.
Receiving including the receipt of daily incoming items, raw material deliveries and finished goods from outside vendors and customers.
- Inspection of in-house custom made garments for defects and quality control to ensure that L&R USA's customers receive a quality garment made to specific custom measurements.
- Packaging of finished standard sized goods with their appropriate product line packaging and marketing materials with corresponding SKU numbers.
- Picking and packing of standard sized orders from stock according to the packing slip that corresponds to the order in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Packing and preparing of custom orders for shipment which includes the verification that all items listed on the packing slip are included in the proper sized box.
- Conduct a physical inventory of raw materials and inventory of finished goods on a routine basis as directed by manager.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience in shipping & receiving and inventory control. Experienced/ Certified Forklift Operator
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP preferred.
- Understanding of the customer service function and order processing to be able to respond to concerns and communicate with coworkers in that department/area.
- Understanding and compliance with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines as they apply to manufacturers of medical devices.
- Must have thorough understanding and keep updated on L&R products; ability to locate where standard sized items are kept in finished goods inventory. Also must utilize this extensive product knowledge during inspection process.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize between receiving, inspection, digital recordkeeping, order picking, order packing, shipping of orders, and conducting inventory.
- Basic mathematic skills and deductive reasoning skills.
Physical Demands:
- Able to perform job functions predominately standing with frequent walking required and occasional sitting.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and 50lbs with assistance.
- Good visual acuity
