Overview
This person will assist the Dining Service Purchasing Agent with receipt and verification of deliveries, storage of such items, and routine daily pulls of inventory items. This person may also assist with food preparation and service, cooking, and/or general housekeeping functions

Qualifications
EDUCATION
* High school diploma or equivalent. Required
* Must possess ServSafe and/or ServSafe Food Handler Certification(s), or be willing and able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment. Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Valid and in State Valid Driver's License. Required
EXPERIENCE
* Experience in receiving supplies, inventory control, and some food service experience, preferably in an institutional environment. Required

* Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. Required

* May be required to use personal vehicle for travel with mileage reimbursement at the current College rate. Required

* Possession of a valid driver's license is required. Candidates possessing a valid driver's license may be required to drive a campus vehicle on or about campus in performing the functions of the position. Those candidates possessing a valid driver's license would be subject to a motor vehicle background check. Required
* Ability to operate a POS system/cash register, make change, and maintain cash in a safe and secure manner while serving customers or the ability to be trained on the POS system. Preferred

* Familiarity with safety and sanitation procedures, as well as proper care of food service equipment or the ability to be trained. Preferred
Responsibilities
Process and fill requisitions for supplies; restock shelves and cooler/freezers as necessary Receive and verify deliveries against ordering documents and inspect for damages, etc. Store received goods in orderly manner in proper location (i.e., freezer, main storeroom, kitchen, chemical storage room, janitorial room, etc.). Transfer requested supplies to other Dining Service locations (i.e., Campus Center, Earth Science, Warehouse, etc.). Maintain dock, company vehicles, to include overhead and storage storage, in clean, sanitary, and orderly manner. Create food and supply orders several times throughout the week based on central storage par needs/levels. Create pull lists from unit menus to stock areas for daily production needs. Follow FARE inventory procedures to avoid allergens/cross contamination of food products. Transport empty propane tanks to and from filling area, fill, and store in proper manner/location. Collect compost from campus dining units and transport to Earth Science Center twice a week. Maintain cleanliness of compost totes. Maintain Reach Road Warehouse in a clean and orderly manner. Collect old documentation and HACCP logs from Dining Services office and prepare for storage and/or shredding. Review par stock levels with management team /purchasing agent and make necessary adjustments. Assist Manager and/or Purchasing Agent with start up procedures in August. Fill in all other Dining Service areas, as assigned by supervisor, to include food preparation, cooking, serving, general housekeeping, and/or cashier. Comply with all safety and sanitation procedures in performance of duties. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with special events, as needed. Monitor computerized inventory against pulls per requisition sheets.
Physical Standards and Special Job Features
* Ability to work in areas with variations in temperature and noise.
* Heavy lifting 65 lbs. maximum without assistance with frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs. Extensive manual work involved in the moving and storing of delivered materials; the total weight of deliveries can exceed 2500 lbs.
* Ability to stand / walk for long periods of time.
* Must have neat and clean grooming and hygiene habits.
* Pushing and/or pulling a kitchen cart. A loaded cart may at times weigh up to 200 lbs.
Pay Transparency
$17.25 per hour.
