Job Summary
Responsible for supervising Forklift Operators within the Shipping Department. The execution of shipping functions to ensure customer fulfillment. Maintain the inventory control process of finished goods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead the Shipping department's effort to reduce waste through the use of SQDC boards and corrective action sheets
* Coordinate with vendor for maintenance and repair of forklifts
* Provide employee feedback through performance evaluations, written disciplinary actions and coaching
* Ensure employees adheres to daily Standard Work and Job Instructions
* Implement measures to improve safety, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and standards of work
* Audit department for at-risk conditions or behaviors; report all accidents, injuries, and near misses to Distribution Manager, and ensures documentation is completed
* Communicate with others in the shipping department and organization to ensure products are shipped accurately to meet customer deadlines
* Other duties as assigned by the Distribution Manager
