Our Shipping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of shipping out customer orders and receiving products and materials as necessary. The Leominster site is one of the manufacturing sites for IPL's Large Format and Retail Packaging (LF&R) business in the United States. LF&R is a growing segment, with annual revenue of approximately $200m and significant growth potential, and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL. Position Title: Shipping SupervisorLocation: Leominster/Westminster, Massachusetts, 1st Shift (weekend availability needed)Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the receiving, dispatching, and shipping of products. Assists in managing our customers freight system and online freight confirmations. Completes customer paperwork and sends it to the shipping locations (RRF). Supervises shipment operations: product picking process, efficient loading and unloading of trailers. Prints shipping paperwork, BOL, packing list, etc. Assists in managing EDI and ASN compliant customers. Manages transactions on a WMS system. Maintains records and ensures that the warehouse is organized Oversees inventory levels and restocks as needed. Ensures that the product matches its packing slips. Assigns tasks, communicates instructions, and directs daily activities. Keeps the warehouse team informed of any changes, goals, issues or considerations. Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.Qualifications: Prior work experience with WMS systems and use of RFF scanners a plus. Prior experience with UPS and FedEx systems a plus. Ability to read, speak, and understand English Ability to safely operate a forklift - certification provided on-site Reliability and good attendance are imperative Ability to communicate effectively with shipping staff, multiple departments and carriers/vendors. Time management, planning, and organization skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work as a team and maintain good working relationships with co-workers Math aptitude - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divideWorking Conditions: Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day. Frequent lifting of between 10 lbs. and 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Frequent reaching and stretching Cement flooring Work areas may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
