Open to Current Olin Employees Only Title: Shipping Training Coordinator Location: Charleston, TN Salary: $89,000 - $110,000 Schedule: 9/80 is available Focus: The Shipping Training Coordinator role is responsible for technical and function specific training activities within the Charleston shipping department. This includes job and function specific training in the Association of American Railroads (AAR) certified facilities which includes the valve shop, railcar shop, and the shipping department. Additionally, this role will coordinate site SABA based learning and tasks. Essential Functions:
  • Train and certify shipping employees in activities including railcar and truck loading, track mobile operation, railcar switching, Cl2 reconditioning, barge loading/offloading, and function specific Railcar Shop Quality tasks and procedures.
  • Manage site's SABA role matrix and training assignments in coordination with Process Area Supervision and Corporate Learning & Development. This includes the update of local documentation for certification, such as Delegation of Authority Matrix.
  • Create, maintain, and administer training modules and assessments for the Railcar Shop and Shipping areas utilizing the eMOC tool.
  • Train and certify Railcar Shop and Shipping personnel on Olin policies and procedures including SWP, Hot Work, LOTO, aerial lift, and forklift operations.
  • Work with Area Owners and Production Process Trainer to improve and standardize training content within each area, including both SABA and hands-on training.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of full-time experience in a Logistics or Hazardous Chemicals Shipping role.
  • Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to, climbing stairs and ladders, passing a fit test for full and half face respirators, passing a visual acuity exam for Non-Destructive Testing, and meet medical requirements for Confined Space Entry work of 18 .
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and workplace standards as they apply to operating areas, including OSHA, EPA, USCG and DOT.
  • Must have basic computer skills including Word and Excel, SAP knowledge a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with overhead crane rigging and operations.
  • Railview and TM Maintenance Experience.
  • Certification in all shipping department areas.
  • Chemical Process Operator Experience.
