Cianbro Equipment is seeking a skilled Crane Mechanic to join our team in Pittsfield, Maine. This position involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections on a wide variety of cranes and related heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical expertise, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. Travel is limited, with most work being based in Pittsfield.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various cranes, including friction, crawler, gantry, and RT cranes.

* Conduct detailed inspections to identify wear, defects, or safety concerns and ensure compliance with manufacturer and OSHA standards.

* Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using the company's documentation systems.

* Order and manage parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.

* Provide technical guidance to operators and other team members as needed.

* Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

* Training or technical certifications in crane function or repair preferred.

* Manitowoc Crane training a plus

* Minimum of 5 years of experience working on cranes or similar heavy equipment.

* Proficient in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

* Familiarity with crane-specific software and diagnostic tools.

* Crane operator certification from an accredited organization (e.g., NCCCO, NCCER) is preferred.

* Valid driver's license required; CDL Class A or B preferred.

* Proficiency in using diagnostic, hand, power, and repair tools.

* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions.

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

* Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
