With great attention to detail, the individual will be handling the processing of multiple aircraft component repair jobs which will include issuing parts to technicians, preparing compliance documentation, packaging, labeling, and preparing the final shipment of the components. The Assistant will occasionally have hands on work to assist our aircraft repair technicians with some of the tasks they perform in the course of repairing aircraft parts and components. The assistant will be responsible for helping to clean, paint, repair, and trim aircraft parts to assist the technicians in performing their tasks. Training, technical documents, and oversight are provided by PG Aerotech management and shop personnel. Essential Responsibilities
- Process aircraft components from receiving to the final shipping of the parts after repair.
- Assist shipping and receiving department to help package, unpackage, part mark and prepare items for shipment.
- Organize the inventory on the shelves and pull the appropriate parts for required work orders.
- Receive Purchase/Repair orders and ensure proper documentation and photographing parts.
- Manually count to check inventory with great attention to detail.
- Document Work Orders, Pick Tickets.
- Issue/Track Tooling and Consumables and conduct inventory tracking.
- Update all parts tracking in computer using our Inventory Control Program (Quantum Control).
- Work with quality personnel and identify non-conforming parts.
- Research and track missing parts, update parts information and locations.
- Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Perform cleaning, painting, coating, pressing, and trimming of aircraft parts in accordance with instructions and training provided by Repair Station personnel and in accordance with written procedures.
- Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).
- Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including technicians, management, and similar.
Experience and Skills
- The ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.
- Two years of similar or related work experience; shipping and receiving, similar manufacturing, cleaning and/or assembly line experience will be considered.
- The ability to follow instructions and adhere to a written procedure concisely and accurately.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Applicants must be able to follow instructions and have an attention for detail accurately and consistently.
- Ability to lift items and packages up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while working.
- Exceptional experience using a computer.
- Punctual and reliable.
Education
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Compensation
- Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Hourly position commensurate with experience; medical, dental, vision, life, and other insurance options; 401k with 100% match on first 4%; full time workers get paid holidays, vacation & sick/personal leave accrued on hire date.
