Position Purpose: Responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all types of wire pulling and stringing equipment, heavy equipment, trailers, and vehicles used for electrical construction projects.
Essential Responsibilities - Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel engines, gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning systems, compressors, generators, suspensions, brakes, transmissions, fuel injection systems, ignition systems and air tools
- Replace and repair damaged components
- Perform engine flushing/cleaning, parts lubrication, oil changes and maintenance checks and all equipment
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repairing all types of heavy equipment, trailers, aerial lift platforms, bulldozer, bucket trucks
- Annual DOT and Crane Inspections
- Perform vehicle preventative maintenance
Knowledge | Skills | Abilities - 2-4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment (wheeled and tracked) or trucks
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintenance manuals, service bulletins and diagrams
- Strong welding (Stick/MIG) and fabrication skills
- Basic understanding of DOT Regulations
- Basic understanding of iPhones, iPads and computers
- Good organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic and testing equipment
- Customer service skills
Qualifications - High School graduate.
- Must possess a valid class A Commercial Drive License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one.
Work Environment - Must be able to remain standing approximately 75% of the time
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching
- The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and vendors and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Occasionally lifting 40 pounds
