About this Role
To lead our company's team of mechanics and maintenance personnel while supporting capital expenditures, managing inventory and supporting the Director of Fleet with ongoing Crux operations.

What You'll Do
* Manage job flow in the workshop including scheduling and labor allocation for day-to-day operations.
* Maintaining direct communication and assisting mechanics assigned to the job sites.
* Assisting General Superintendents, Superintendents and Project Managers with equipment/supply/transportation issues as needed.
* Undertaking all levels of serving, maintenance, and repairs of all Crux equipment.
* Following the repair process from fault analysis to completion as well as supervising and guiding working staff.
* Ensuring that equipment is maintained timely availale for the work.
* Managing and controlling the stock of spare parts, consumables and supplies.
* Maintaining inventory and equipment database up to date.
* Traveling to job sites as required to follow equipment and supplies related activities.
* Reviewing and managing shop costs.
* Managing equipment efficiency throughout the business unit.
* Providing guidance, direction, coaching, and support to direct reports.
What You'll Bring
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
* BS in mechanical engineering, preferable but not essential.
* At least 10 years of proven experience as Shop/Plant Manager for geotechnical or heavy civil construction.
* A team player with leadership abilities.
* Thorough understanding of Accounts, Inventory management, and Budgeting.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

The anticipated compensation for this position is - depending on experience and qualifications.
