Service Technician manages repair, maintenance, and test tasks. They diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. They are responsible for servicing and making equipment rental ready. Essential Functions
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses all types of equipment to ensure proper working condition on the job site or in the shop
- Performs routine equipment clean-up and upkeep as well as safety review and pre-delivery inspections
- Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions and adjusts heavy equipment as required and completes all paperwork on the equipment to which the individual is assigned
- Participate in all training programs directed by Service Manager
- Bring to the attention of the Service Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or unsafe to use
- Maintains tools in good working order per MSHA and OSHA regulationsCompletes basic computer tasks including completing work orders, looking up parts, and communicating via email
- Communicates with coworkers
- Tie workflow to schedule
- Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Produce timely and detailed service reports
- Operate equipment in a safe manner
- Follow all company's filed procedures and protocols
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
- Must be able and willing to help train and assist other technicians in need of assistance

- Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

- Minimal travel required. Only required for factory sponsored training
Physical Demands The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.
