Preferably with some MIG welding experience, TIG welding experience is a plus. We are looking for more than just a welder, our shop is very busy, our technicians wear many hats such as, welding / fabricating, building equipment, rebuilding pumps, wiring equipment, testing equipment, troubleshooting equipment, and potentially going in the field to perform on-site repairs/training. • Performs various manufacturing & repair duties as assigned.• Maintain all safety standards.• Moves, secures, loads, or unloads materials.• Performs some specialized tasks which may require on-the job training.• Effectively using heavy and light equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment.• Moving tools, equipment, or other material as directed in plans or by supervisor.Essential Functions and Responsibilities• Adhere to Employee's Responsibilities section set forth in Conco's Safety Policies & Procedure Manual.• Cleanup work areas.• Handle and transport materials and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders)• Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed.• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks. • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions.Skills• Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.• Detail oriented/ results driven.• Ability to work independently & in team environment with an appropriate sense of urgency and accuracy.• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and wiring diagrams.• Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety• Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workersSuccessful individual must be detail oriented, results driven and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. This position also requires strong customer service and communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information and records, some computer knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.QualificationsAttributes• Oral Comprehension & Expression - The ability to communicate, listen and understand information and direction through spoken words and sentences.• Written Comprehension & Expression - The ability to read, write and understand information and ideas.• Speech Clarity - The ability to speak clearly so others can understand.• Reasoning - The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction and the ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.Experience & Education• High School Diploma or GED.• Must be authorized to work in the United States.• Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.Physical Requirements• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing (particularly for long periods of time).• Physically submit to periodic drug /alcohol/background & clearance screening tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results).
