- Identifies patients in Shot Lab module of PCIS.
- Works with the clerical support team to identify any changes of demographic or insurance information as well as educate patients if there are any outstanding balances.
- Locates appropriate vials.
- Confirms patient identity, using full name and date of birth as identifiers.
- Determines timeliness of patient visit and calculates appropriate dose.
- Obtains peak flow, if applicable.
- Records patients answers to the health questions, prior to administering.
- Administers allergen/venom injection(s).
- Administers biologic medication(s).
- Advises patient to wait 20 minutes.
- Records information on flow sheet and in Shot Lab module.
- Calculates/adjusts doses for modified rush.
- Administers/records modified rush.
- Obtains vital signs related to modified rush.
- Recognizes systemic symptoms and manages systemic reactions appropriately.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
- Educates patients about all aspects of care and treatment.
- Cleans and stocks Shot Lab.
- Distributes medication samples, as appropriate.
- Ensures that biohazard waste is packaged and retrieved appropriately.
- Assist the Clinical Support team as needed for patient care.
- Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:Required:
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current driver's license, diploma (MA/CMA), certificate (CMA), TN and GA nursing license (LPN), or diploma for MA, LPN, or RN in progress (student).
