Univision is seeking a talented Show Director in Miami, FL. The Show Director will oversee the various aspects of a broadcast and coordinate all related elements. This includes digital shows, newscasts, news briefs, news special event coverages, as well as translate abilities to Sports and Entertainment. The Show Director interprets the Producer's vision and works in conjunction with the technical crew to execute vision.
YOUR DAY-DAY:- Use iNEWS (Newsroom Computer System) to create and edit the rundown
- Code in Ross Overdrive automation
- Oversee and facilitate production elements, including graphics, music, and all other related presentation elements
- Perform duties as a Technical Director in manual operations
- Build on Ross Vision Switcher-Build and modify switcher and automation effects
- Edit templates on TemplateEditor
- Manage audio faders in DirectControl
- Create switcher and server back-ups
- Meet and coordinate production with show producers-liaison between producers and production
- Call and direct the different shows assigned
- Provide creative input, e.g., assists the Producer in creating the look of a show, including set design; suggests alternate shots; etc.
- Coordinate and communicate all technical and staging requirements to the production crew
- Track incidents for shows directed via Service Now
- Manage technical crew which consists of directing the crew; conducting performance reviews, advise on proper goal setting and providing on-going performance feedback.
YOU HAVE:- College Degree or equivalent work experience in Broadcast Communications
- Computer skills and familiarity with Windows operating systems
- 5-10 years of experience in production/directing programs in studio with Automation and Manual operations; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Knowledge or Productions Switchers (TD experience a plus)
- Knowledge of Ross (Vision) Switcher and Robotic Camera Systems (Ross Cambotics)
- Knowledge of equipment utilized in production, TV studio and control room
- Comfortable with all aspects of studio and remote productions
- Able to make quick decisions and give accurate and clear instructions
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Comfort using highly technical and automated systems
- Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Eligibility Requirements- Must be willing to work from the Doral, FL office
- Employment/education will be verified

Physical Requirements (optional)- Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to (8) hours
- Must be capable of working long hours on computer-based equipment.
- As this position supports 24x7 operation, candidate must have on-call availability, and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice. Additionally, candidate may be required to work on site for extended periods to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as, during an inclement weather event.
