The Sidewalk Sweeper provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area downtown. Please review full job description. • MUST HAVE SOME JANITORIAL EXPERIENCE. • Sweeping Sidewalks outside in all kinds of weather conditions. 40hrs a week TUESDAY TO SATURDAY - November 1st through April 30th 9:00am to 5:30pm May 1st to October 31st 11:00am to 7:30pm ABM Benefit Information: ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM 2024 Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) Basic Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older • No experience required and on the job training provided • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required Preferred Qualifications: • 1 year of similar cleaning experience • Customer service experience Responsibilities: • This position involves maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the outside areas including the removal of litter and trash from assigned areas. • Notify supervisor concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems. • Follows procedures for the use of cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to concrete and fixtures. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to ensure all responsibilities are completed efficiently. • Identify issues quickly and find practical solutions, whether it's fixing equipment or addressing cleaning challenges. • Ability to clearly communicate with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure understanding and coordination in tasks and responsibilities. • Comply with ALL safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities. • Clean and dust outside structures, fixtures, concrete, trash bins, machines, and equipment. • Gather and empty trash. • Sweep walks, rake leaves, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks. • Possible service, clean, and supply restrooms as needed by supervisor. A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
