Job Description:

Position Summary:

Working well with customers and subcontractors, Sign Installers/Service Technicians/Fabricators primarily load and transport products to the job site and install products. They also repair or service signage as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Preferred candidates will have the following skills:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, patterns, written procedures and verbal instructions
  • Experience in wiring, welding and construction techniques
  • Proficiency in math, fractions, decimals and metric system
  • Ability to use tape measure to 1/8 accuracy
  • Ability to use hand power tools
  • Ability to operate forklift truck
  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Concentration of study in mechanical arts classes and welding certification desirable

Work Environment:

Outdoor work environment with exposure to sun, cold temperatures and inclement conditions 8-10 hours/day. Manufacturing environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

General Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to work outdoors, exposed to sun, cold temperatures and inclement conditions 8-10 hours/day
  • Ability to work from a ladder or crane at heights from 8 to 130 feet
  • The ability to stand and walk in approximately a 200 ft. radius for 8-10 hours/day
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 80lbs
  • Ability to use correct body posture
  • Ability to maintain correct postures while reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling and twisting
  • Ability to sustain forward bending while reaching 7 to 15 horizontally, holding tools weighing up to 12 lbs.
  • Ability to obtain a Wisconsin state welding certification.
  • Ability to be rigging certified.
