Interpret American Sign Language (ASL) to and from spoken English for individuals and guests throughout the agency and the surrounding communities. Translate written English to and from ASL for individuals and guests throughout the agency. Adhere to the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Code of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct. Direct staff on the linguistic and cultural nuances of the Deaf and Non-Deaf community in relation to the design of and/or implementation of trainings, meetings, and projects. Work effectively with outside interpreters for trainings and meetings. Communicate regularly with the Communications Access Director and Assistant Director regarding quality assurance such as assignment logistics, scheduling, changes identified for individual assignments as the need arises.
