Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for providing effective interpreting of conversations between banking institution employees during day to day interactions and during meetings and one on ones. Although non-essential, fluency with financial services terminology is preferred.
- Multitask (hear audio, voice what was heard - all simultaneously)
- Attend job-appropriate meetings and training sessions
- Sign and abide by all client data privacy and confidentiality requirements, even after assignment ends
- Other administrative duties as assigned

- Excellent reading skills
- Strong voicing skills/voice quality - ability to speak quickly with clear enunciation
- Strong memory-recall ability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while focusing on a high amount of attention to detail
- 2 years of full-time paid experience as an ASL interpreter
- Certification as an American Sign Language Interpreter by either the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf or the National Association of the Deaf
- Knowledge of SEE (signing exact English) and PSE (pidgin sign English: mixture of ASL grammar and English)
- Ability to communicate effectively: ASL, TDD, verbally and in writing
