Over the past three years, Halloween on the Hill has become an extremely popular family friendly event bringing significant awareness and visitation to Long Hill. Over 1,500 carved pumpkins are displayed creatively in throughout the trail and the large-scale sets are an audience draw. A similar event takes place at Naumkeag in Stockbridge.
Winterlights is an outdoor light event that highlights the beauty of select Trustees properties. The gardens at three of our most popular historic homes, Naumkeag in Stockbridge, The Bradley Estate in Canton, and Stevens-Coolidge Place in North Andover will sparkle with thousands of shimmering holiday lights.
The Role:
As a Signature Events Assistant, you will report to the Property Director and North Shore Senior Regional Engagement Manager, to deliver excellent standards of visitor service at both Long Hill and Stevens-Coolidge in Beverly and North Andover, MA. This includes check-in, retail and concessions sales, parking, and event setup and breakdown for Halloween on the Hill and Winterlights. You will also support stewardship projects and provide support for this specific event as assigned. The position will begin as early as September 3 and continues as late as January 17.
This employment window is subject to change depending on site staffing needs. Halloween on the Hill, at Long Hill in Beverly, MA is open to the public, Wednesday – Sunday, 5:30 – 8:30 PM each day, and Winterlights, at Stevens-Coolidge House and Gardens, is open to the public Wednesday-Sunday from 4:30-8:30 PM. Setup shifts are flexible and available Monday – Saturday while the event shifts run 4:00-9:30 PM.
