The Silviculture Forester is part of the North Louisiana/Arkansas Region in Southern Timberlands and will report to the Winnfield Area Manager. It is a full-time, exempt position located near Winnfield, LA. The Silviculture Forester role involves office and field time to plan and manage the activities required to support sustainable management of the Winnfield Area Tree Farm.

Key Functions
As a Silviculture Forester, you will be responsible for the safe implementation of silviculture practices which include all activities from stand establishment thru mid-rotation, field recon/ verification, contract administration, and timely updates to ensure financial accuracy. You will also work together with other team members, the Silviculture Manager, and the Area Manager to execute silviculture plan in compliance with regional silviculture strategy and the annual plan. The role area-based, so working together with other functions is critical to the success of the region.
* Bachelors degree (or higher) in Agriculture, Forestry, or related field OR equivalent in experience

* Operational experience in project management and contract administration

* Ability to drive in all weather and road conditions which may include up to 50% on dirt or gravel
* Willing and able to support projects or initiatives outside of your function or area

* Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn Weyerhaeuser Silvicultural practices
* Must be willing to live in or around the Winnfield Area
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $56,500 - $100,100 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
