Job Description:
Job Title: Simulation Engineer - ForgingDepartment: 6100 - EngineeringLocation: High Bridge, NJSummaryThe Simulation Engineer will work in our Engineering department, use computer simulation software to design/test/improve our manufacture processes of custom forgings, pipes, fittings & heat treatment processes. Responsibilities
  • Works with a design team to design tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as required by the production process.
  • Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the fixtures, dies, and products.
  • Use the advanced simulation software (DEFORM 3D) to predict and visualize the manufacture design.
  • Builds process routers and prototypes of the product to tests the design.
  • Studies the test data, makes comparisons with the computer simulation and modifies the computer simulation.
  • Help other engineers as needed to develop manufacture routers for the production process.
  • Develops control systems and monitors production.
  • Assist sales and marketing in preparing documentations for projects biding and quoting.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
  • Experience in: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Office, and Excel.
  • Industrial or finite-element modeling experience with DEFORM, QFORM, FORGE or other simulation software are highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Education and/or Experience
  • Education: B.S. Mechanical Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
  • Two years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience with DEFORM or other process simulation software.
