Job Description:We are seeking a Simulation Engineer to join our team specializing in ePowertrain system simulation. This team focuses on modeling and analyzing powertrain systems from power sources to electric motors driving wheels, delivering insights into performance, thermal behavior, and overall system optimization.Job Title: Simulation EngineerLocation: Mossville, IL (Building AC – Hybrid)Pay Rate: $50/hourExperience Required: 5+ years in 1D simulationKey Responsibilities:Conduct systems simulation at the ePowertrain level, focusing on overall output rather than individual components.Perform modeling for performance, thermal behavior, current slosh, and high voltage tank circuits.Collaborate with design integration teams to assess potential failures and optimize configurations.Support ePowertrain controls teams with system modeling to evaluate different configuration outcomes.Work cross-functionally across the organization to gather necessary information for simulations.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (Electrical preferred).Experience: Minimum of 5 years in 1D simulation and systems simulation.Knowledge of drivetrain and battery-electric systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.Additional Details:Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (core hours).Travel: Minimal travel required.Why Join Us?Be part of a dynamic team focused on ePowertrain innovation.Collaborate on impactful projects supporting Caterpillar machines and ePowertrain controls teams.Enjoy a hybrid work environment with minimal travel.
