Job DescriptionSUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, coordinate, schedule and manage Behavioral Health Simulation and Advanced Learning programs including the SUD Workforce Training Program, BH Violence Prevention and Psychiatric Social Health Technician (PSHT) Training at the Institute for Medical Simulation and Advanced Learning (IMSAL)
- Facilitate training for all 11 H+H Emergency Departments staff, including 1100 MD, Advanced Practice Providers and Emergency Medicine residents; four cohorts of PSHT trainees; and 80 violence prevention sessions for 2 H+H acute care facilities annually
- Plan, coordinate, schedule and manage Behavioral Health Simulation and Advanced Learning programs for other medical service lines and partnering organizations, as determined.
- Organize and recruit human simulationists (actors) for BH Simulation experiences.
- Coordinate on-boarding and orientation for human simulation initiatives
- Evaluate Behavioral Health Simulation and Advanced Learning instructor and auxiliary staff performance and provide coaching to improve delivery of curriculum.
- Organize actor schedule, insuring consistency for implementation of all BH Simulation
- Capacity to back up facilitators and implement training modules and faculty debriefs, as needed
- Capacity to back up and replace the simulated patients/actors and faculty debrief roles in BH simulation.
- Maintain all training and in-service records of attendance, pre- and post-surveys.
- Track and notify leadership regarding simulation status, advanced learning compliance and scheduling.
- Participate and coordinate IRB submission and orchestrate team in supplying outcomes data for programs
- Provide technical review and evaluation of education programs.
- Plan, coordinate and manage administrative responsibilities for simulation and advanced learning programs.
- Evaluate Behavioral Health Simulation and Advanced Learning auxiliary staff performance and provide coaching to improve delivery of curriculum.
- Provide administrative support analyzing and tracking for PeopleSoft ELM training needs
- Supervise non-managerial employees assigned to the Simulation and Advanced Learning initiatives, including set up and moulage of actors and simulation spaces.
- Represent the IMSAL in appropriate meetings and committees.
- Provide reporting to the Office of Behavioral Health on reach and effectiveness of IMSAL training
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications1. Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Public Health, Psychology, Personnel Administration, Management or Public Administration, or a related approved discipline; and,2. Five years of progressively responsible experience in planning and manpower development and training programs, medical or public health administration or other fields related to training, development and manpower analysis, of which at least two years must have been in a managerial, supervisory or administrative capacity related to the organization, formulation, development and implementation of such plans and programs: or,3. A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Management, Social Work, Medical Administration, Psychology, Personnel Administration, Public Administration, or a related approved field with four years of experience as described in (2), and two years in a managerial, supervisory or administrative capacity; and,4. Extensive knowledge of the principals of training and manpower development programs and ability to analyze and determine the needs of the Corporation; or,5. A satisfactory combination of training, education and experience indicating the ability to perform satisfactorily. Special Note: In addition to meeting the qualification requirements stated above, assignment to Level II requires evidence of advance study in relevant disciplines.
