Singel store DBA with python programmingDay 1 Onsite Austin, TX (Relocation must require)Long term contract Hybrid - 3 days onsite / week Direct client opportunity Singel Store DBA Requirement: Job Summary: We are looking for Single Store DBA with PythonProgramming. He/She will be responsible for managing and maintaining our SingleStore databaseenvironment. This includes database performance tuning, monitoring, backup and recovery, andensuring data integrity and security. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in databaseadministration, particularly with SingleStore, and will use their Python programming skills to developscripts and tools to automate routine tasks and improve database efficiency. Key Responsibilities: *Install, configure, and maintain SingleStore database systems. * Monitor database performance,implement performance tuning, and optimize queries. * Ensure high availability and disaster recovery ofdatabase systems. * Develop, test, and deploy backup and recovery plans. * Implement and maintaindatabase security policies and procedures. * Create and maintain database documentation, includingdata models, schemas, and procedures. * Develop Python scripts to automate database managementtasks and enhance operational efficiency. * Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues andprovide support to development teams. * Collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders toensure seamless integration of database systems with other applications. * Stay updated with the latestindustry trends and best practices in database management and Python programming. Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Proven experienceas a Database Administrator, specifically with SingleStore. * Strong proficiency in Python programming,with experience in writing scripts for database management and automation. * In-depth knowledge ofdatabase performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting. * Experience with databasebackup and recovery procedures. * Familiarity with database security best practices. * Excellentproblem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and collaboration skills. * Ability towork independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience withother RDBMS database systems (e.g., Vertica, MySQL, Oracle). * Familiarity with cloud-based databasesolutions and infrastructure (e.g., AWS). * Experience with managing Distributed databases. *Experience with DevOps tools and practices. * Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. Pay Range: $65/hr - $80/hrThe specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
