Job Reference 1249651 Location Freeport, Texas, United States Industry Process - Chemicals Function Administration Job Type Contract Date Added October 8, 2024 Our client is seeking a Plant Clerk to work within their facility located in Freeport, TX, for a long-term contract. The Plant Clerk will be responsible for providing administrative support to the company's personnel and contractors with various administrative tasks. Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate visitors to the site, completing necessary paperwork and escorting to and from the gate. Be the face of Company for these visitors.
  • Serve as the primary plant document management system administrator who will track compliance with procedure review requirements and training on changes as well as adding/removing users, accepting documents, formatting)
  • Support the site Leadership Team with coordination of a newsletter including creating layout and creative flourishes to improve visual appeal.
  • Administration of the Lenel security system for managing card access.
  • Coordinate the sitewide file retention system. Maintain the plant library (central file system), and coordinate shipment of files to permanent storage.
  • Compile Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and presentations for the leadership team.
  • Provide general clerical administrative assistance by preparing documents and spreadsheets, handling office supplies, and working with office equipment.
  • Provide coordination for some facility support such as janitorial services and uniforms.
  • Coordinate meeting changes and conference room reservations, etc. as needed.
  • Support site events, including town halls, lunch and learns, group visitors, site celebrations and activities.
  • Maintain and submit expense reports, as needed.
  • Provide plant mail services for the site.
  • Be comfortable working within an operating chemical facility and provide support to Operations, Maintenance, and staff.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of administration experience.
  • 2+ years in a management assistant type role.
  • Sharepoint experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Prior document management experience preferred.
  • Strong aptitude with Microsoft office programs.
  • Work within a manufacturing facility preferred.
