Days Per Year: 226Min: $71,540Mid: $86,196JOB TITLE: Site Coordinator-21st Century CommunityLearning Center (CCLC) (Grant Funded)REPORTS TO: Project Director 21st (CCLC) and Campus Principal Dual ReportingWAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt PAY GRADE: AI 2PRIMARY PURPOSE:The Site Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating activities for students and parents participating in the Texas 21st Century Community Learning Center program at each of the program centers in Spring ISD. The Site Coordinator will work with the Texas 21st CCLC Project Director, Family Engagement Specialist and Principals to promote involvement in these centers for more successful student outcomes and to focus on developing and planning character education, individual tutoring, and enrichment activities.All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate in a clear and respectful manner, championing the needs of our students and drive continuous improvement.QUALIFICATIONS:Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of experience working with at-risk students and families
  • Two years of experience working in an educational, social service, or family support service setting.
  • Two years of experience working with families that have diverse cultures and economic background
Preferred:
  • Bilingual in Spanish
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with the community resources and support agencies
  • Must be adaptable to meet the needs of the families in the program in addition to working flexible hours to accommodate work in the evening
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff, parents, students, community, and school administration
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Provides on-site supervision for all activities in addition to handling day-to-day situations such as discipline, attendance, and scheduling.
  • Coordinates all activities and meet all the needs of the program before, during, and after school hours.
  • Works with principals and school officials regarding recruitment efforts and activity planning to ensure alignment with the school day.
  • Conducts the campus needs assessment and develop the campus service delivery plan.
  • Meets with students, teachers, and parents as necessary to communicate student needs.
  • Facilitates strategies for student assessments and interventions while determining best course of action.
  • Gathers student and program-level data (ensuring the safety and confidentially of student information) to include grades, attendance, behavior referrals, student program participation, staffing, partners, etc.
  • Collaborates with partners, community stakeholders, and vendors to coordinate program services and ensure ongoing communication to address any concerns regularly.
  • Attends all trainings, conferences, workshops and meetings as requested by TEA.
  • Monitors and collects student and program-level data within the required timelines to report progress on student services and outcomes for performance measure reporting.
  • Conducts regular internal monitoring to ensure compliance with all grant requirements and cooperate with program implementation assurance conducted by TEA
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: physical mobility, standing, prolonged sitting, some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling. This position will also require both traveling within the district and state wide. Mental demands: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations; ability to interpret a variety of data; ability to interpret TEC and policy; ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory, ability to be effective in both oral and written communication; ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
