Children are the Heart of the Matter AFTER SCHOOL SITE DIRECTORSCHEDULE: Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. 40 hrs/wk SUMMER CAMP Schedule is Monday through Friday - 8AM - 5PM Site Directors are expected to work every week of the year, with the exception of predetermined CORA Holidays or PTO requested days off. START DATE: As soon as possible LOCATION: Northwood Academy (19124 section of Philadelphia) PAY RATE: Starting at $44,000 YouthCOR Site Directors are expected to travel from CORA's Main Office (19111) to their program site daily.Who are we looking for?

What will you be doing every day?
  • Build impactful relationships with children, youth and families.
  • Engage students, families, and other community agencies to connect families to the program.
  • Become a pillar in the school community by building and maintaining relationships with school administration, teachers, families and other stakeholders to ensure program visibility and community support.
  • Complete administrative duties to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Design high quality, fun and engaging programing in literacy, STEAM and social emotional learning.
  • Create a safe environment for all staff and students though best practices in policies and procedures.
  • Grow and Supervise passionate leaders into role models and advocates for the youth in the program.
SITE DIRECTOR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associates' degree with 30 credits in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Human Services or a related field; or
  • Associates' degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Human Services or a related field; or
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university including 30 credit hours in ECE, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Human Services or a related field.
PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS:
  • Walk and stand for the duration for the shift (4 hours during school year, 8 hours during summer).
  • Walk at a pace to stay with a group of children during field trips. (Length of walking varies for trip).
  • Transition between sitting, standing and kneeling, as needed.
  • Lift and carry 25 lbs.
