Job Summary

The Site Director is responsible for providing overall leadership, strategy, planning and vision to the facility and operational staffs to ensure the company is delivering operational excellence in all facets of our business.

Essential Functions

* Oversees plant safety, quality, operations, cost and delivery.

* Establish manufacturing policies that continue to drive performance in areas of lean manufacturing techniques, material usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, employee relations and performance.

* Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.

* Manages, reviews, verifies, maintains, and controls related to budgets, forecasts, action plans, reports, inventory, invoices, and work schedules.

* Makes personnel evaluations as well as hiring and termination decisions. Communicates and explains goals, concepts, ideas, and opportunities.

* Anticipates problems and develops solutions, plans, policies, and regulations. Delegates and assigns tasks, projects, and responsibilities.

* Detects, analyzes, and corrects problems related to unsafe working conditions and equipment/property conditions.

* Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

4 Direct Reports - Plant Manager Processing & Powder, Butter Manager, Maintenance Manager, Warehouse Manager

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

* Degree in Dairy/Food Science or Technology or a related field required or equivalent experience.

* MBA or Similar degree preferred

* 10+ years progressively responsible experience with at least 3 years in management; excellent management, negotiating and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve results; experience in budgeting, project management, supervision of accounting, operations and human resources

* Excellent written and spoken English

* Basic computational skills required.

* Simple math reasoning required.

* Minimum five years experience indirectly overseeing a plant maintenance setting involving electronics, instrumentation, refrigeration, electrical, and general mechanical.

Language Skills

A well-modulated tonal volume is required with excellent diction skills needed.

Reasoning Ability

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have the ability to discern when issues may require input from levels of authority within the corporation.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess or be able to acquire a California Driver's License.
