Job Description:
Essential Functions of the position are detailed below, and include any physical requirements below that.1. Responsible for the daily and overall operations of the Community Center which includes opening and /or closing the center at scheduled times, supervision of staff, interns and volunteers, development of classes and programs for community residents. Participates in the hiring process, completes performance reviews and prepares disciplinary reports as needed. Must have flexible schedule to work some evenings and /or weekends on occasion.2. Works independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment by ensuring a full programming of low-cost or free classes and events at the Community Center to meet program and funder requirements as well as meet the needs of the community. Generates new programing based on request of clients served or community needs assessments. Completes community surveys and markets programs to help ensure the maximum capacity for quality services is accomplished.3. Develops positive relationships with Agency and community partners in order to bring additional services to the Community Center and to share the mission of the Agency and promote the Programs. 4. Ensures a clean, secure and safe internal and external environment; notifies appropriate Agency and parish staff regarding any issues or concerns related to safety and provides any necessary follow-up. Immediately reports any incidents to the appropriate agency personnel. 5. Participates in budget preparations and ensures compliance with budgetary constraints; promptly notifying the Department Director of any issues or concerns regarding the Community Center's ability to remain within budget. Continuously seeks new sources of revenue and participates in completion of applications for grants and other contracts. 6. Communicates articulately in oral presentations as well as in written reports to internal and external parties regarding the goals, outcomes, and impact of the Community Center. 7. Develops instruments to measure outcomes and statistics for the purpose of providing regular reporting to the agency and potential funders. Outcomes are based on industry standards, best practices and program goals. Completes client surveys and follows up on results to implement improvements to the programs. 8. Manages and performs an array of administrative tasks including collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data to comply with funding source requirements.PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assignedKneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day.
