Must Haves:
Minimum 5 years' experience as a site construction inspector and degree
Prior experience in site inspections, construction inspections or a related field.
Strong understanding of FEMA protocols and disaster-related damage assessment.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Proficiency in taking representative photographs and completing detailed sketches.
Ability to write comprehensive damage descriptions and develop scopes of work.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Conduct site inspections to validate infrastructure damage and record detailed damage descriptions. Communicate and coordinate with other Public Assistance (PA) staff involved in the PA Program delivery process for applicants. Perform accurate quantification and detailed description of disaster-related damage, including debris. Take representative photographs that clearly depict damage claims. Complete sketches of sites to supplement photographs and capture profile and cross-sectional perspectives. Write detailed damage descriptions and obtain the applicant representatives agreement on the accuracy of the descriptions. Deliver completed site inspection information to the Site Inspection Task Force Leader and Program Delivery Manager in a timely manner. Develop scopes of work, including related code and standard requirements
Pay Rate: $49.93/hr + overtime + $100-$150 in per diem daily
