Job Description:

SITE MANAGER: 2 open positions - Pasadena, TX and Port Arthur, TX

GENERAL SUMMARY:

General oversight of sampling, inspection, and sample preparation of cargoes in the field, including monitoring job activity, assigning work, issuing instructions for each job, supervising work to ensure quality performance, review of field reports, and maintain safety standards.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Complete safety programs required by Company and Terminal specific safety programs with satisfactory proficiency.
  • Complete knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out program.
  • Proper use of company provided and required personal protective safety equipment.
  • Comprehension of all safety hazards within the workplace such as but not limited to: mechanical sampling systems, industrial equipment, inclement weather, over water hazards, etc.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensures new employee pre hiring back ground, drug testing and physicals are conducted with employee hiring packet completed and forward to HR.
  • Ensures new employee safety orientation is completed prior to introducing employee to their job functions.
  • Coordinating work of staff to ensure balanced work load, proper assignments according to experience and the control of overtime. Approves employee daily time record.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of Companies policies and procedures to the point where he/she is the primary conduit of requests for information or clarifications from the employees.
  • Recommends, evaluates and participates in Staff Development. Conducts performance evaluations for those employees he/she supervises.
  • Conducts Staff, quality and safety meetings on a regular basis.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures and testing equipment calibrations. Implement and monitor preventive maintenance program for prep and testing equipment.
  • Maintains awareness of current developments and conditions affecting quality procedures.
  • Monitor usage and proper maintenance of company vehicles.
  • Ensures spare parts inventory is maintained for equipment and timely ordering of necessary supplies and spare parts for necessary maintenance and operation of equipment.
  • Pursue personal development through training and attend courses and seminars as needed.
  • It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a current awareness and understanding of appropriate regulations, internal policies, procedures, and to comply fully with those regulations, policies and procedures.
