Overview:

The Site Merchandising Manager, eCommerce is responsible for shaping the customer experience on the main website. This role focuses on managing the site's content strategy, navigation, merchandising, functionality, and campaign execution. The goal is to drive continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring a frictionless online shopping experience that fuels eCommerce growth.

The ideal candidate will possess a creative mindset and a proven track record in delivering profitable growth for an eCommerce business.

Salary range: $100,000 - $110,000.

Hybrid model: 2 days on-site per week.

Site Merchandising Manager, eCommerce Duties:

  • Calendar Planning: Develop and manage an annual content calendar that aligns with the direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategy, including product launches, promotions, and activations.
  • Product Catalog & Navigation: Own the eCommerce product catalog, taxonomy, and on-site navigation. Work closely with marketing to optimize URL structure, sorting, and pages.
  • Content Development: Collaborate with the design team to create compelling website assets. Craft effective copy that drives customer action and aligns with brand goals.
  • Site UX Optimization: Manage and enhance the customer journey with a mobile-first approach. Lead UX testing and prioritize improvements based on data analytics.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Ensure a seamless consumer experience across all touchpoints, making strategic and tactical changes to boost conversion rates.
  • Data Analysis: Build sales reports and set on-site metrics for product performance. A/B test different content strategies and customer touchpoints to optimize site performance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with creative, product, inventory teams, and external partners to align merchandising efforts and strategies.
  • Inventory Management: Partner with the planner to develop product availability and sell-through strategies.

Site Merchandising Manager, eCommerce Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in eCommerce merchandising, site merchandising, or a related field.
  • Skilled in relevant eCommerce merchandising software and tools for planning, marketing, optimization, testing, content, analytics, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a focus on creating the optimal site experience.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to make data-driven decisions. Expertise in customer experience, content strategies, and campaign execution.
