Job Summary:

Experienced Site Safety Professional with the skills and motivation to support defining the future of safety at Thermo Systems, in partnership with Corporate Safety. Serves the company in the following capacities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Environmental Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in electrical installations, construction, or commissioning environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other relevant safety standards.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), OSHA 500 Authorized Outreach Instructor, NFPA 70E, First Aid, MEWPS certified instructor and other pertinent curriculum.
  • Advanced Safety Certification (CHST, STSC, ASP or CSOP) - REQUIRED.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and support corporate safety leadership.
  • Lead all safety efforts on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and company-wide safety policies.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, site-specific safety plans, and procedures for all phases of the BMS installation and commissioning process.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure all activities comply with safety standards.
  • Prepare reports and communicate safety issues and recommendations to project and corporate safety leadership.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for both internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Lead investigations of any accidents or safety incidents on-site.
  • Coordinate closely with subcontractors to ensure they adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Manage Site Safety Compliance Matrix (SSCM) for jobsite to ensure compliance with all safety requirements.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with employees and achieve cultural change.
  • Able to multitask and implement a plan of action.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Up to 25% travel, as per project requirements.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidate will be required to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification within first year.

Work Authorization/Other Requirements:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
