The Site Supervisor (SS) is responsible for overall monitoring of the Kansas City, MO hub. The Site Supervisor has the primary responsibility of overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of Air Security Officers (ASO) and Hangar Security Officers for their site including but not limited to scheduling, timekeeping, safety, and incident management including corrective action. The SS provides direction to staff regarding daily duties and assignments in compliance with contract requirements, established standards, conducts safety reviews and inspections of the various staff and work areas, recruits and interviews new staff, initiates and delivers corrective action and implements all site level policy as directed by the Project Manager. Maintains quality control of security services delivered by the contractor's staff. The Site Supervisor reports to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Supervise assigned aviation site and interacts directly with the Client and Project Manager (PM) as needed or required, Track arrival/departure and activities of security staff.
Develops, reviews and approves all weekly schedules and performs changes to the schedule to ensure compliance.
Required to ensure that all missions are on time and fully staffed.
Monitor and report changing conditions including missing staff, changed missions, and cancellations.
Complete travel documents for staff when required
Scheduling of applicant interviews. Submit and request background checks
Liaison with Human Resources regarding review of employment contingencies.
Monitor employee performance, document discrepancies, interact directly with HR and PM on employee discipline/correction actions.
Schedule and conduct new hire orientations.
Ensure sufficient inventory and develop purchase requests when uniforms and equipment are needed (body armor and other items needed for armed guards).
Track and schedule annual physicals, drug screening, security registrations, and certifications per contract requirements.
Coordination and oversight of training.
Participates in company/department quality audits.
Organize and maintain file system and file correspondence and other records.
Qualifications
Must be a citizen of the United States of America.
Must be a high school graduate.
5 years of supervisory experience.
Must be free from conviction of a misdemeanor crime of moral turpitude or domestic violence in accordance with Title 18, Section 922(g)(9) of the United States Code. The term “convicted” is generally defined in the statute as excluding anyone whose conviction has been expunged, set aside, or pardoned.
Must meet the General and Law-Enforcement Experience Guard Qualification Requirements.
Be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.
Possess a valid state driver's license from their state of residence and have a safe driving record for the past five years.
Possess the ability to meet and deal tactfully with people
Possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.
Possess poise, self-confidence, and the ability to make sound decisions and react quickly under stressful conditions.
Possess the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
Possess the ability to learn and adapt to changing situations.
Possess the ability to accept and respond to instruction and direction.
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Intermediate language skills, including ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively and enthusiastically with applicants and employees.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), database software, E-mail, and Internet.
Must be able to pass all training and obtain all required certifications.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical to proceed through the hiring process.
Must be able to pass a background investigation to include criminal, credit and driving record checks. Screened pre-employment including psychological testing, honesty and integrity validation, employment verification, criminal records checks, credit checks, driver's license check, pre-employment and random drug screening – all to be continuously monitored and checked on an annual basis.
Must be able to pass US Government background investigation for required security clearance.
Must meet client suitability.
Law Enforcement Experience Requirements
Must meet at least one of the following experience requirements:
Must be actively employed state, local, or reserve, law enforcement officers with arrest authority and minimum of one-year experience; or
Actively employed state, local, or reserve, corrections or detention officers with a minimum of one-year experience in prisoner handling or detention; orFormer or retired law enforcement, corrections, detention, or military police officers who have not been separated or retired for more than five years prior to contracting with the USMS.
Current ASO experience may be credited toward meeting the mandatory experience.
