Must be able to motivate others and can administer policies consistently.1+ years' lab experience required.1+ years' purchasing, and inventory experience required. Inside sales and cross-referencing skills are considered a plus.Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.Excellent customer service skill including a can-do demeanor required.Intermediate skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required.Basic knowledge of MS Access and ERP Systems required. SAP experience is a plus.Strong communication skills to interact with both customers and various departments within Avantor required.Must be able to make sound business decisions, be proficient in troubleshooting, forward thinking, multi-task oriented, and adaptable.Potential for long-term career growth with Avantor required.DOT & IATA certification required and available through Avantor if hired. Forklift, spill containment, Hazwoper, CPR, OSHA, GMP, and GLP trainings are considered a plus.High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.How you will thrive and create an impact:Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.In this role you will:Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the onsite Scope of Work (SOW) related to customer requirements.Manage multiple sites; one in Brandford, CT, two to three in Cambridge, MA, and one in Watertown, MA.Coordinating and assigning work, supervising personnel, and ensuring customer requirements are being met.Coaches and motivates team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet / exceed goals and objectives. Encourages through mentoring, as well as supporting individual, professional and team growth.Management of open order status reports, customer metrics, metrics development and department reports, and Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)/SOW maintenance, QBR preparation, development and presentation.Provide training and development as well as back-up to associates to perform required tasks.Administrative duties such as associate performance appraisals, succession planning, timecard review, and vacation scheduling.Acts as a liaison between customer, Avantor services and sales.Ensures GxP Compliance and Good Documentation Practices.Brings Value to the customer from personal development in the industry.Other duties as assigned.Disclaimer:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
