Position: Nursery SitterDate Revised: August 5, 2024Reports to: Ellie Krolick - Nursery CoordinatorLocation: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton 2016 Willis Lane Keller, Texas 76248 www.fwdioc.org/employmentGeneral Position Summary: The Nursery Coordinator provides nursery care for the children while the parents are attending Mass. Could also be requested to provide nursery care for other parish activities. Responsible for the care and safety of children ages 18 months through age 4. Principal Accountabilities:
- Works with the nursery coordinator to assure the children are in a safe, clean environment while their parents attend Mass.
- Responsible for diapering children and assisting children with toilet use.
- Communicates and interacts with parents, children, and parish staff.
- Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.
Typical Decisions and/or Recommendations Made in This Position:
- Determine whether a child's injury merits a call to the 9-1-1 operator.
- Determine whether a child's health changes significantly enough to merit a call to the parents to be picked up from the nursery.
- Determine whether a child's behavior merits a call to the parents to be picked up from the nursery.
Supervision Given and/or Received:
- Reports to Nursery Coordinator.
- Supervised by the Pastor

- Director of Maintenance
- Chief of Staff
- Nursery Coordinator
- Safe Environment Coordinator
External Contacts:
- Parishioners who dropped their children off at the nursery for childcare.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Weekend hours between 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, 4 Masses Sunday. (1:00 Spanish Mass)
- Could be requested to work additional parish functions at the request of the pastor.
Travel Requirements:
- There is no travel required with this position.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Active, practicing member of the Catholic Church in good standing.
- Experience in working with children.
- Successful completion of Safe Environment including background checks.
- First aide certified and CPR certified.
Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
- Ability to communicate well
- Ability to work with people of all ages.
- The ability to work with and coordinate activities with staff and volunteers
