GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Wintergreen Resort Safety Patrollers serve as an ambassador of Wintergreen, ensuring the slope experience is positive for guests by controlling skier traffic, monitoring skier behavior, promoting safe practices, and providing directions. Cross trained to assist guests with ski lifts and ensure safe loading/unloading of lifts, maintain signage, communicate rules, complete required paperwork, check lift tickets, and run lift lines. SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Considered applicants will have excellent customer service and communication skills. Qualified candidates will have their own ski equipment and be able to ski on all slopes. Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years of age, and be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is Seasonal Full Time or Part Time positions. Position will begin late November/early December and will end mid-March PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must be able to ski or ride successfully and independently. Applicants must be able to tolerate winter weather and long hours. SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Lead by example for a safe work environment.
- Smile and greet guests in a friendly manner.
- Report to work on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Must be in uniform when on duty.
- Maintain an orderly passenger traffic flow in a safe manner.
- Follow all opening, closing, and daily operating procedures.
- Advise and assist passengers as required.
- Maintain surveillance of his/her area.
- Must follow policies and procedures outlined in the Wintergreen Handbook.
- Able to take on additional tasks and assignments assigned by the manager.
