(Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).* Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts* Friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only)* Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift* Subsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staff* Discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City* Healthcare options are available for staff members* 401k plan with company matchPURPOSE OF POSITION: Reservation Agents are experts in assisting guests to book any of the resort's mountain activities operated by Skier Services. These activities include ski school, private ski lessons, locals & specialty ski programs, child care and rental equipment. Many agents also handle advance lift ticket sales and assist with selling the Deer Valley and Ikon season passes.Our agents interact with guests via inbound phone calls to answer questions, make suggestions, and book reservations. Full-time agents work four days a week through the end of ski season, including weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays, as is typical for the hospitality industry. Part-time agents work three days a week. Work hours are 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.If you have a positive, friendly attitude, strong computer skills and like to multitask, please apply!NOTE: We offer hybrid in-office/work-from-home positions. New agents must attend in-office training and work at the resort during a probationary period, after which they may work a hybrid office/home schedule.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Communicate appropriate departmental services, policies and procedures to guests in a professional manner over-the-phone* Display accuracy and attention to detail when making reservations* Willingly assist with all office and reservation-related tasks and complete assigned daily duties accurately and efficiently* Help maintain and encourage a sense of teamwork among co-workers* Handle demanding situations with guests calmly and professionallyQUALIFICATIONS:* Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills* Very strong understanding of operating computer systems and have an aptitude in mastering new software and technology systems:* Windows 10* Office 365 Suite* MS Teams* Chrome browser* Cloud-based software and services* Proprietary Deer Valley reservation software systems* Ability to multitask while operating computer and telephone systems* Keyboard skill of at least 35 w.p.m.* Should have flexible schedule and seven day/week availability; must attend all training sessionsSKIER SERVICES EXPECTATIONS:* Exemplify a strong work ethic* Function as a team player* Interact with members of Skier Services peer group, instructors, agents, and supervisors in a positive and professional manner* Interact positively with other Deer Valley Resort employees* Communicate any suggestions or concerns to the manager in a timely manner* Speak and act professionally while on duty* Support/follow Deer Valley Resort policies and procedures and Deer Valley Employee Handbook guidelinesDATES OF EMPLOYMENT:* 10/7/2024 - 3/31/2025PAY RATE:* Pay: $21.00 per hourDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
